Senior Informatics/MAC analyst

Description:This position establishes and monitors strategies and analytic models to support pharmacy benefit pricing methodologies as it applies to internal and external clients and pharmacies. The position requires creative thinking and use of various systems and data sources to perform complex analytics for American Health Care’s self insured PBM and 340b clients. The candidate will manage complex projects with varying priorities while keeping track of project tasks and deliverables to ensure timelines are met. He/she must be a highly detail oriented individual with excellent data management skills.
Duties:• Create, execute, and monitor strategies around AHC Maximum Allowable Cost (MAC) pricing to efficiently and effectively achieve company profitability goals and contractual guarantees to clients and pharmacies.
• Assist with the development of analytic models that support the MAC pricing strategies
• Assist with the development of advanced analytic models to manage, analyze, and interpret large data sets to underwrite more effective contracts.
• Conduct financial modeling and analysis
• Research primary market trends and conduct data analysis in conjunction with senior leadership
• Perform queries and manage data from multiple claims processing platforms to: research, create reports and tracking tools, and provide solutions to address risks
• Evaluate a wide array of data types, including case review, prescription drug claims, and eligibility data
• Work with complex data to develop and produce standard and ad hoc analysis in support of Client Reporting, Performance Management, and Sales / Account Management departments
• Be the liaison for reporting requests between internal departments
• Validate accuracy of new reports prior to release to stakeholders
Qualifications:KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Knowledge of healthcare industry and data analytics.
• The ability to create comprehensive financial models and generate pro-forma financial statements using MS Excel and MS Access and industry Business Intelligence data mining software
• The willingness and interest in conducting detailed financial analytical work
• Ability to interpret and analyze complex pharmacy claims using tools such as MS Access, Excel, SQL, Business Objects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Strong quantitative abilities and problem solving skills
• Ability to function well in a collaborative team brainstorming environment

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or Economics
• Three (3) to five (5) years of Healthcare/PBM experience working with data management tools
• Clear background check
